Our Well Child clinics are open to families with children under the age 5, to support you through the early years of your child's life. We may be able to offer support to help you manage those daily parenting challenges, from checking your child/baby's weight and feeding to guiding you through gentle sleep strategies and much more.
Please bring your parent-held record book with you to each appointment.
At these appointments/ clinics, you will see/speak to a member of the health visiting team, but please note, the member of staff you will see/speak too will not be medically trained, if your child is unwell please contact the most appropriate service such as; Pharmacist, GP, NHS111 or 999.
In addition to these clinics, we are still running our stay, weigh and play sessions for babies and child under the age of 2, where you can can turn up and get your baby weighed. Please note: that at these stay, weigh and play sessions, no members of the health visiting team will be available to ask questions.
Alternatively, if you wish to speak to a member of our health visiting team over the phone, please contact the Telephone Advisory Service (TAS). The service is available Monday - Friday between 9:00am-1:00pm by calling 01905 520 032.
Please do not bring unwell children to the Well Child Clinic as there is a risk of spreading infections to very young infants in the waiting room. If your child is unwell and needs to be seen the same day, please contact your GP or telephone NHS111.
