Changes to the Healthy Start scheme
The Healthy Start scheme is in the process of becoming a digital service, offering an online application process, and introducing a prepaid card to be used for purchasing healthy food and milk. This digital service will replace the paper application forms and paper vouchers. Beneficiaries of the scheme will also be able to also use their prepaid card to collect free Healthy Start vitamins.
Healthy Start - Vitamin programme
Healthy Start is a Government Scheme that provides weekly vouchers to eligible parents and can help you if you’re pregnant or have a young child under four. These vouchers can be spent on milk, fruit and vegetables and infant formula milk at your local shops and supermarkets, as well as offering coupons for free vitamins too. For more information about the scheme, visit the NHS Healthy Start website.
